The internet made it possible to access the information you want in less time than it takes to open a bag of Doritos.

Back in the day, you had to travel to a library and search for ages just to find the topic you were looking for—without even getting to the book titles yet.

So, it’s safe to say that the internet made access to information a lot easier.

But just like everything in life, what brings massive benefits also comes with massive downsides.

And the biggest downside of easy access to information? Way too much information.

Just like food is abundant nowadays, information is overflowing.

And just like you can get obese from food, you can get mentally obese from information overload.

That’s exactly what we see today.

If you want to learn something like fitness and dieting, there are millions upon millions of sources out there—each one saying the total opposite of the other.

With fitness alone, you’ve got thousands of exercises to choose from—let alone figuring out the correct combination and order to do them in.

So what’s the solution here?

Sticking with the basics, my friend.

Whether it’s fitness, diet, or even f*cking coding—all that matters are the fundamental basics of the skill you want to master.
