Hi there! Loc here just swooping by.
Swooping by to wish you an amazing Monday and give you a little update.
Hey friend! First of all, I hope you're having a great start to your week.
For those who were wondering—I took a small break for about a week to realign myself.
And man, I came to some conclusions and learned a few things during that break.
So I figured, why not write an email about it?
Let’s kick this off with this: I started my own fitness business about a year ago.
I was working 10–12 hours a day, and on top of that, I worked out twice a day (definitely overkill, but hey, I love working out).
And yeah, the business was running pretty well. Not rich or anything, but for my first year, I did pretty decent.
But to say I was burned out and anxious is an understatement. There wasn’t a day that went by where I didn’t feel like I was in fight-or-flight mode.
Every single day felt like a grind, like I had to perform—or else it would all go down the drain.
But hey, that’s the right thing to do, right?
Well… it depends on why you're doing it.
Everywhere on social media, you’ll see posts from either really attractive people or the classic “hustle and grind” crowd.
Make money. Be stoic. Do hard things. The internet is filled with that kind of stuff. And just like a lot of men, I fell for it too.
And while it’s not necessarily bad advice, it’s missing one important piece:
Why are you making money?
I feel like people aren’t being honest about their reasons.
Most will say it’s for the freedom or the lifestyle it can provide.
But honestly—for most men (myself included)—that’s kind of BS.
The real reason? To be more attractive to the opposite sex.
And it seems like I might be the only one willing to admit that out loud.
Here’s the ironic part: all that hustling and grinding actually made me less attractive. I was constantly in my head, and I developed this subconscious validation-seeking behavior.
But once I let go of that, I became way more magnetic.
Truth is, I always had attraction from women…
I just forgot, because I was grinding for something I already had.
Don’t get me wrong—making money is great, being sovereign is great—but get real with yourself about why you’re doing what you’re doing.
Is it truly about freedom? Or are you chasing it out of insecurity or the need for validation?
All that said, I still love fitness and love helping people get in the best shape of their lives. If you're looking to get ready for summer and want to get fit without wasting time or experimenting with what doesn’t work—just hit reply to this email.
Kind Regards,
Loc Nguyen
