Hey there, Loc here, just came by to say...

That you have to be consistent.

Hey there, Loc here, just came by to say that you have to be consistent.

It’s a super basic concept, but it’s the most important one of all.

Everybody has heard this a million times, but nobody is ever truly consistent with the things they want in life.

An important part of mastering any skill is having a vision and setting goals you want to achieve.

The reason why these are so important is that they help you stay consistent with your tasks.

The only things most people are consistent with are the tasks assigned to them—tasks that benefit someone else.

So, in other words, most people are consistent in building someone else’s vision and goals, but not their own.

As harsh as it sounds, it’s true.

The people who excel in any specific area are the ones who stay consistent with the most boring, mundane things.

But here’s the kicker: those boring, mundane things? They do them for themselves—not for anyone else.

That’s why I preach working out so much. It’s an activity where you put your energy and time into building something that is just for you.

This principle also applies to business and skill acquisition.

But most people do the total opposite. Yeah, they invest their time in learning new skills, but it’s not purely based on their own interests.

It’s often aligned with the interests of the company they work for.

That’s why it’s hard to stay consistent. It doesn’t come from their own vision and goals.

Let’s circle back to fitness and health.

If you’re in such bad shape that your life is in danger, you might have a vision of yourself being healthy and able to enjoy life without constant anxiety.

That vision will push you to stay consistent because if you’re not, the consequences are severe.

For me? I didn’t have a profound vision or some grand realization.

It was much more childish and silly.

I wanted to look like Goku.

That’s it.

But that childhood vision kept me consistent since I was 15 years old.

Now that I’m 30, I still hold onto that vision. It’s still close to my heart, as silly as it may sound.

So, what’s the message here?

Make your own goals and vision and chase after them relentlessly.

But more importantly, chase after them consistently.

You only get one life, so go after what YOU want in life.

Kind regards,
