Choose to Live a Better Life
It starts with the choice.
It all starts with the choice.
The choice to leave that toxic relationship.
The choice to start living better.
The choice to change.
A lot of times, we forget that we have the power to choose to do something about our lives.
But most people would rather play the victim and act like they have no choice in the matter.
No matter how dire your situation may be at a particular moment, you always have a choice.
Maybe you’re stuck in a job you don’t like, but you have to work to take care of your family.
In that situation, it might feel like you have no choice.
But you do have a choice: the choice to search for another job—even if it’s just for 30 minutes each day.
You always have a choice.
I shared this idea with a friend, and he disagreed. He brought up a tough situation where it seemed impossible to choose a better life.
Long story short, this guy went on vacation with his now ex-girlfriend. A few days into the trip, she broke up with him, and they still had a few weeks left to go.
In that situation, you might think you have no choice but to feel bad and miserable.
But he did have a choice.
He could chose to go out on his own and have fun despite the situation.
Nowadays, people let others make their choices for them.
They let other people decide their diet.
They let other people control their health.
They let other people dictate their living situations.
Hell, most people even let social media decide how they should view the world and think.
I won’t go into detail about that—it’s a topic for another email.
But the takeaway here is this: you have a choice.
Whatever your life situation is now, you have the choice to live a better life.
Maybe it’s your diet.
Maybe it’s your living situation.
Maybe it’s your financial situation.
You always have the choice to do something about it.
Especially now, in an age where information is everywhere and free.
Whatever it is, make the decision to take control.
Change starts with that single choice.
This one, abstract choice can snowball into an avalanche of good things coming your way.
But you have to make the choice.
I’ll leave you with this quote from Albert Einstein:
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”
So, if you’re not satisfied or feeling down right now, make the choice to change. Do something about it.
You’ll be amazed at how quickly your life can turn around.
That’s it for this email!
I hope you have an awesome weekend and enjoyed this message.
