Being Overweight Shows More Than What Meets the Eye
There's More Behind It Than Just a Layer of Fat
Being overweight says more to people than just what meets the eye.
Yeah, it may look unattractive by society's standards, but there’s much more behind it than that.
Most people stop at the physical appearance and leave it at that, but little do they know there’s a deeper reason why being overweight is often perceived as unattractive or less desirable.
Before I get into that, let me be clear: I’m not here to make you feel bad. I’m here to show you the truth and what actually goes on—based on real experience, not internet memes.
So let’s dive in.
The people who judge others the most are hiring managers.
And almost all of them assess people based on their attractiveness and level of physicality.
If you think about it, it’s pretty logical.
Staying fit and healthy requires a lot of discipline in multiple areas of life.
You need emotional resilience for your fitness training and diet, you have to avoid bad habits, and you have to do the work despite how you feel.
All of these traits are needed to perform well at a job.
Love it or hate it, that’s just the world we live in.
The same applies to dating. We may not always consciously acknowledge it because emotions come into play and cloud our judgment, but deep down, it’s there.
Being overweight signals to the world that you are lazy, eat whatever you want without discipline, use food to cope with emotions (meaning you are not in control of them), and, last but not least, that you don’t fully love and trust yourself.
The truth is, people become overweight due to the constant, habitual indulgence in these undesirable traits.
That’s what being overweight really shows, even if it’s not visible to the naked eye.
As harsh as it may sound, it’s the truth. The level of discipline and self-love you have will reflect in your body.
Your body is a glimpse into your habits, and your habits are what define you as a person.
The good news? Habits can be changed.
You just have to make the decision in your mind to change and stick with it.
That’s it for this email!
I hope you found this insightful and make the decision to start fresh next week. If you're already on the journey—keep going!
Kind regards, and enjoy your weekend,
Coach Loc
